A custom studio-management platform that runs a photography business end to end — bookings, billing, galleries, and client delivery.
Snape is a photography service provider that needed one platform for its whole workflow — from appointment scheduling to delivering password-protected albums. We designed and built a custom web application that automates the business end to end, engineered around the hard parts: high-resolution image assets and cloud storage costs.

Photographers schedule sessions, manage bookings, and keep detailed client records — all in one place.

Automated quotation and invoice generation with real-time outstanding-payment tracking.

Upload and organize high-resolution images per appointment, with multiple resolutions generated automatically for performance.
Secure album sharing
Clients access their photo albums with a unique password — private and easy to share.

A built-in portfolio module lets photographers show their best work to potential clients.
The hard problems
Handling large volumes of high-resolution images is resource-intensive. We implemented automatic generation of multiple image resolutions (thumbnail, medium, original), smart loading strategies with lazy loading and CDN support, and image compression using Sharp — keeping galleries fast without sacrificing quality.
Amazon S3 is reliable but costly at scale. We built an optional integration with Wasabi Cloud Storage — S3-compatible APIs at a fraction of the cost — so Snape can choose between S3 and Wasabi based on budget and needs.
